USA NETWORK ANNOUNCES 'LAW & ORDER: CRIMINAL INTENT' IS FINISHED ON USA JULY 6 AND IN PLAIN SIGHT RENEWED FOR SEASON FOUR

NEW YORK, NEW YORK - May 17, 2010 - USA Network will end "LAW & ORDER: CRIMINAL INTENT" after nine seasons and three on the USA Network, it concludes it on Tuesday, July 6 (9-11 p.m. ET). USA Network has renewed its best drama "IN PLAIN SIGHT" for its fourth season.

The announcements were made today by Bonnie Hammer, President, USA Network.

Bonnie Hammer, President, USA Network said, "Dick Wolf and his highly praised spinoffs LAW & ORDER: SPECIAL VICTIMS UNIT and LAW & ORDER: CRIMINAL INTENT made the USA Network what it is today and I am grateful for that. CRIMINAL INTENT will go as well in mutuality with the original LAW & ORDER series."

Dick Wolf added: "LAW & ORDER: CI has been the most recognized of the LAW & ORDER series, but now it is time to look towards the future. I think LAW & ORDER: LOS ANGELES will appeal to the fans."

Cast member Jeff Goldblum (Detective Zachary Nichols) had to say: "We all saw this day coming, but for our show more so than the original show. All we can do now is stand tall and keep going."

The brainchild of creator and Emmy Award winner Wolf, LAW & ORDER has spawned one of the most successful brands in primetime television. It is the 1997 Emmy Award winner for Outstanding Drama Series and the record holder for the most consecutive (11) nominations in that category for a primetime series (tied with "Cheers" and "M*A*S*H"). It premiered on September 13, 1990, and eventually tied "Gunsmoke" as the longest-running drama series in television history.

Dick Wolf's third installment in the LAW & ORDER franchise follows the Major Case Squad as it investigates high profile crimes. The cases often revolve around homicides, serial killers, VIPs, government officials and figureheads from the business and creative worlds. Unlike other procedural dramas, CRIMINAL INTENT focuses on the criminal psyche.
LAW & ORDER: CRIMINAL INTENT stars Emmy nominee Jeff Goldblum as Detective Zach Nichols and SAG nominee Saffron Burrows ("Boston Legal," "Troy") as Detective Serena Stevens. Burrows plays a highly educated, worldly single parent with a broad range of life experiences to draw upon in solving even the toughest of cases. My review on the "Law & Order: Criminal Intent" episode, "Loyalty" (Part 2), I will keep down the Major Case's major spoilers.

It picks up where it left off! It was excellent great acting from D'Onofrio/Erbe for their last episode! I won't spoil much but as fans intended Goren was fired, Eames was promoted (and fired Goren to keep him out of hot water) and then quit. We had new images in the opening sequence. I rank the 2nd half of the season premiere 9.5/10!

"Broad Channel" is next Tuesday on USA at 10PM/9PM Central. The Jeff Goldblum Hour is now on the air! In which I will redirect you all to All Things Law and Order... I may support when the episodes air but I will not watch them because I do not support Jeff Goldblum (no offense intended), thus there will be no reviews from me, sorry.

Law & Order: CI - "Loyalty" (Part 1) Review

My review on the "Law & Order: Criminal Intent" episode, "Loyalty" (Part 1), I will keep down the Major Case's major spoilers.

It starts off slow and boring but it picks up quick, fast, and in a hurry and it's a lot of tension bewtween MCS/the Feds. And it's a shame that Captain Ross died. This episode to me was not the best for a season premiere... Rene Balcer & Warren Lieght would have do so much better. This season is gonna be a bust. So you can predict what happens next: Goren and Eames get personal and one gets fired... the other quits. I rank the season premiere 8/10!

"Loyalty (Part 2)" is next Tuesday on USA at 10PM/9PM Central.

April 13th: the Jeff Goldblum Hour is on the air. In which I will redirect you all to All Things Law and Order... I may support when the episodes air but I will not watch them because I do not support Jeff Goldblum (no offense intended), thus there will be no reviews from me, sorry.

I can't wait until the season premieres or IPS's anyway! The closer to LOCI's makes me mad because VDO/KE/EB are gone after episode 2, "Loyalty".

The Difference Between Law & Order and Criminal Intent Before and After 2007

Many people wonder how/when "Law & Order" and "Law & Order: Criminal Intent" went down... I think I have the answer: Mr. Rene Balcer.

In September 2001, Balcer left the original Law & Order (after being there from the begining in 1988, 1990) to persue another Law & Order venure... Criminal Intent. Thus causing L&O's writing style to change dramatically which pushed L&O to one of the highest rated dramas on television in the 2001-2002 network TV season and it maintained that title until 2006.

But on CI from Fall 2001 to Spring 2006 Rene Balcer made L&O: CI one of the most watched dramas on primetime television but then he wanted to go back to his original home of writing the original Law & Order figurativley basically giving the series over to Mr. Warren Leight who I must say can write a good season premiere, mid-season episode and season finale... though his character driven stories lowered CI's ratings on NBC in it's 6th season.

L&O wasn't doing so well in the ratings either after Mr. Balcer returned to the series. L&O and CI's ratings were basically tied and LOCI wound up moving to USA Network where the series continued to suffer in the hands of Warren Leight who then later turned it over to Michael S. Chernuchin while Leight pursued other work. Balcer and Leight wrote the best work for the series in the 2 and 3 seasons.

L&O had a hand full of writers and showrunners while Balcer held down LOCI between the 12th and 17th season. Ratings fell when Balcer returned to the series along with continuous moving timeslots for the series. What am I saying... basically this:

If Rene Balcer & Warren Leight would return to LOCI as head showrunners and the following people come back to write for L&O in season 21+... (some currently do now) Kathy McCormick, Douglas Stark, Richard Sweren, Wendy Battles, Sean Jablonski, Barry Schindel, Robert Palm, Marc Guggenheim, Terri Kopp, Aaron Zelman, Eric Overmyer, David Black, Jill Goldsmith, Noah Baylin, Matt Witten, William N. Fordes, Lynn Mamet, Rob Wright, Stuart Feldman, and Michael Harbert (writers of the 12th season) L&O and CI's ratings would probably return to normalcy instead of the proverbial toilet. LOCI needs moving off USA and back to NBC and Vincent D'Onofrio and Katie Erbe need to return and alternate with Jeff Goldblum.

NBC REVEALS SUMMER PREMIERE DATES:

Episodes from the ninth season of "Law & Order: Criminal Intent" [or the Jeff Goldblum Hour] (which premieres on USA Network on March 30) will encore on NBC beginning Sunday, June 20 (10-11 p.m. ET) with repeats of those episodes airing Saturdays beginning June 26 (8-9 p.m. ET).

Even though for most LOCI fans they want it on NBC completly airing episodes first-run before USA screws up the series even more.

First off, USA Network has released a promo for the season premiere episode (See below, Thanks GorenEamesFan2001). Which pissed me off. Sorry. From my Goren/Eames stand point I'm pissed off. From Nichols/Porter; good luck Saffron Burrows ("it's fun here" - Jeff Goldlblum, season 9 episode 1)

Question on this statement: "On March 30th, Criminal Intent returns exclusively to USA..." - What does that mean? Is the series moving back to NBC after the premiere or mid-season? For seasons 7 & 8 we never heard thsi statement. They usually say "Sunday April 19 an all new season of Criminal Intent kicks-off. Or in two weeks on USA the Major Case Squad is back."

It looks like Goren and Nichols LIVES are on the line more than their badges. Are you sure that Ross or Eames will die in this episode. I lean it more on Goren or Nichols. (Which would really piss me off)

Secondly, USA released the episode info with the promo and it's called "Mad Mullah" on USA Network yet other sources say it's "Puntland". (http://www.usanetwork.com/schedules/sched.php?sdate=3/30/2010)

So IDK when it comes down to that. We'll know more I suppose by or on March 30.

Law & Order: Trial by Jury - Set To Be Renewed

OMFG, not one, not two, not three, but FOUR LAW & ORDER's on air now PLUS the mothership!

"NBC Chief of Entertainment Angela Bromstad plans to have the defunct series, Law & Order: Trial by Jury renewed for a second season, she says that "Fans of the series' were left with an immediate cancelation, especially with the sudden passing of Orbach. (Jerry Orbach - Lennie Briscoe) While Dick [Wolf] plans to start the LA series, it would be nice to give the legal series' another 'trial' run." This Law & Order series is not new to television it premiered once on NBC Thursday March 3, 2005 and fell in the ratings after Jerry Orbach passed away after only filming two episodes of the series, it was canceled Saturday January 21, 2006. So far no casting plans have been made yet, their current first priority is to hire a set of writers for the series."

I think after season 21 (if the mothership is renewed at 22nd season, I pray and hope) the mothership should move to TNT. I'd rather see it moved than get scratched for it to make room for SVU, LOLA an TBJ.

Two current hoaxes we have out now: Chris Meloni leaving SVU and Law & Order: TBJ has been renewed for a second season.

IDK why this happens EVERY time any L&O comes back or goes on mid-season breaks but rumored stories/posted stories come out that are usually 50% of the time false but then you have that other 50%.

Now reading between the lines on the TBJ situation, it seems legit and stuff that Pres. Bromstad would say... but if TBJ were back (and if Meloni was leaving SVU) it would be jumping all over the place, not from one place. The Austriallian Courier or TVSquad.

I'm going to say TBJ isn't renewed and Meloni's not leaving SVU until I hear from prominent people from L&O, Dick Wolf, Neal Baer, Rene Balcer, Micheal S. Chernuchin, the stars themselves, or etc.

First off NBC has released some information about "Law & Order" & "SVU" and their season finale planned dates.

I'm going to give you the whole statement word for word:

I liked how the season finales fell in June last year, I was expecting that this year seeing how the 2010 Winter Vancouver Olympics fell this month (With Start date of February 12th and End date of February 28th)

New development: Law & Order returns to NBC Monday March 1, 2010 with a 2-hr event starting at 9PM/8PM Central. (After that on Mondays at 10PM/9PM Central) And Law & Order: SVU returns to NBC Wednesday March 3, 2010 with a 2-hr event as well, starting at 9PM/8PM Central. My New NBC Blog and Meloni Hoax Continues

First things first: I've created a new blog for the reason of keeping the original NBC (now USA) drama series "Law & Order: CI" sepreate from the current NBC original drama series "Law & Order", "Law & Order: SVU", and coming in 2010, "Law & Order:?" (Set in LA). This is just done to have more room on my blog for the current L&Os on NBC. CI is sorta special but in a manhole because it's on USA.

This blog will still continue to host information on "CI" and related drama series, "In Plain Sight" and I will post links here to go there for new information for those who like all the Law & Order's. Anyway, future new info on NBC's "Law & Order" and "SVU" will be there starting Monday, March 1, 2010!

And watch a special 2-hr "Law & Order" on that same day starting at 9PM/8PM Central. And watch new "SVU" on March 3rd at it's new time on Wednesday March 3, at 10PM/9PM Central. On NBC.

Now, the Meloni Courier Hoax:

I can't tell you how this is going to go down for SVU fans, but probably not good. The Austraillian News Courier has posted a new link with the same information about Meloni leaving SVU again today. Click here for it. And we all remember Neal Baer reported and tweeted yesterday about how no one was leaving the cast, there are two different versions but they say the same thing from Baer and that the website took down the entry on yesterday.

Here's my take on it, Chris Meloni has been with SVU for 12 years (like Vincent D'Onofrio has been on CI for 8). He could be ready to leave SVU now, but in that same thought why would he leave SVU so quickly when he's brought the character Elliot Stabler a long way? It's a bad deal for the SVU fans.

Chris Meloni will probably either release a statement or wind up on someone's late night show, either Jay Leno or David Letterman (probably Letterman most likely due to the upcoming Olympics. Or appear on Leno after March 1.) and he'll tell us then if this is a hoax or not. I'm hoping not.

I read this on the NBC board yesterday people say Neal Baer is going to be LOCI's next executive producer and showrunner, if that's what he wishes to do I wish him the best... but LOCI may flunk in the ratings after Vincent D'Onofrio and Kathryn Erbe leave.

Again Chris Meloni is either staying or leaving, right now I'm in the middle because I'm lost. I hope he stays but I wish him the best if he leaves... same goes for Mariska Hargitay.

And again watch a special 2-hr "Law & Order" on that same day starting at 9PM/8PM Central. And watch new "SVU" on March 3rd at it's new time on Wednesday March 3, at 10PM/9PM Central. On NBC. Will post the episode information here and on the other new blog in March.

It turns out that Christopher Meloni leaving Law & Order: SVU was just either a rumor started by the Australia’s Courier-Mail, where the link cannot be found.

But we have a new list of guest stars coming: Jeri Ryan, Teddy Sears, Quinton Aaron, a “star of Tyler Perry’s movies” and the “star of an HBO series” would all appearing on one upcoming episode of the procedural drama. Jeri Ryan and Ice-T's characters are supposed to 'clash' in the episode she appears.

Again, Law & Order: SVU returns March 3, 2010 at 10pm/9C.

An Australian news outlet, the Courier Mail, reports that Chris Meloni will leave Law & Order SVU “within the year… confirming he would walk away from the role of Detective Elliot Stabler after season 12 of Law & Order SVU.” The article also goes on to state that “The decision already has led to tears, with castmate Mariska Hargitay breaking down when discussing how she and her character Detective Olivia Benson would cope with losing Meloni.” The article also said that Chris “was interested in pursuing theatre work as well as producing and or acting in "guerrilla-style sleeper" films when he leaves.”

Well Meloni's contract was only renewed to season 12 anyway, and so was Mariska's. So after a while we'll hear that Mariska Hargitay will be leaving SVU next.

She’s been married before and has a lot of secrets.” Any chance Sharon’s character could continue in the fall? “Well, you’ll have to see what happens to her in our season finale,” Baer says. Uh-oh! So it seems for March to May (or June) SVU gonna be pretty uh... SVU-ish... I just hate that latley episodes revolve around the characters more than the guest stars. I miss the guest star drama from seasons 2-7 and some of 8. Some of 9, some of 10, and the majority of this season I've been f888ing pissed off with how the episodes are written.

Anyway, SVU returns March 3 and L&O March 1 on NBC.

I'd like for everyone to keep in mind my Goals for LOCI's 10th Season Entry. Criminal Intent's 9th season is gonna be a bust so maybe by the 10th season, LOCI will return with Vincent D'Onofrio and Kathryn Erbe to the cast and hopefully originally back on the always original home network, NBC.

Now look first off, this is UNOFFICIAL! I don't know what can happen with this between now and September 2010.

I was on campus today and I got an NBC related text message. (IDK from where, so many websites have my cell phone number to send texts to me about updates from shows. Like Law & Order, NCIS, IPS, BN etc. anyway back to the point.)

Anyway I got a short text saying 'NBC heads in talk with USA'. So here is how I'm looking at this:

NBC/USA (NBCU) executives are sitting down talking one of two Law & Order's: Criminal Intent and/or Los Angeles (Because we all know that series will air syndicatedly on USA Network like SVU.)

(Off track a second) And I read on Wikipedia last night a statement saying (Not word for word) "LOCI's 9th season will be placed on hiatus until September 2010 because it will be placed on NBC due to the 2010 Tonight Show controversy." - Something along those lines. And it was removed later in the night.

To move CI back to NBC. I've voted yes. Plus fans have still been sending in stuff to NBC and USA Network in hopes that their minds will be changed. (It's so stupid that this happened to LOCI back in September 2009. USA Network should have just passed LOCI back or on to another NBC affiliated network $$$$$$$$$$$$!)

Anyway now 'NBC heads are in talk with USA'. Someone needs to get in touch with Angela Bromstad (because she is a Law & Order fan, she had them create LOLA and renewed LO for a 21st season).

Law & Order: CI - Email Jeff Zucker

Law & Order: CI fans... have you tried emailing Jeff Zucker (NBC President, or current president I should say)? I know sounds like a bad idea. But while he's still president... try to pull LOCI back into NBC.

Here what I did, I emailed Jeff Zucker at jeff.zucker@nbcuni.com

And I explained what USA Network has done to LOCI:
1.) Firing VDO/KE
2.) Laying off NBC's own hired writers...
3.) Changing the format to dramady. (Drama-comedy, bad idea for a show like Law & Order/LOSVU/LOCI/LOLA)
4.) Making Jeff Goldblum take over and how it's a bad idea.

And I asked Zucker,

1.) Make a deal with Bonnie Hamer (USA president) and Dick Wolf on getting LOCI back to NBC.
2.) Bring back VDO/KE
3.) Bring back the writers from seasons 5-7
4.) I even mentioned LOCI old time slots. Sundays at 9 and 10 PM/E

And I sugarcoated it saying 'If they hire back VDO and KE and move it back to NBC... ratings will FLY up to SVU standards!' And said words like 'Im begging you', 'Please' 'Thank you'

Cancel Jay Leno and Conan O'Brien. (Just kidding) Yay COCO, we love you COCO!

I also signed it, "Beloved LOCI/NBC fan" and asked for a responce.
So now counting down to see if Zucker answers.

NBC should have just let Law & Order go to TNT and it may have to if NBC decides to stop after 21 long record tying/breaking seasons. I wanted the mothership to beat out the Simpsons!

Law & Order/SVU on NBC... no confirmed dates of return at this time. (LO eps this season 23, SVU eps this season 24)

Law & Order: CI - If the ratings fall by the 10th season

Now I know for a fact that Vincent D'Onofrio and Kathryn Erbe are probably gone from LOCI by now. Because USA is taping the 7th or 8th episode by now with Jeff Goldblum, Saffron Burrows, and Mary E. Mastrantonio.

But this is me spitballing about what should happen the 10th season of LOCI:

NBCU/USA Network or whomever should sit down with D'Onofrio and Erbe (depending who's character is murdered in 9th season premiere... looks like Bogosian's (Ross).) Anyway the execs. of the network and the stars (including Goldblum, Burrows, and Mastrantonio) should sit down and work out a deal for the 10th season of LOCI.

We all know the stars were fired from the series, when the ratings fall USA Network (which they will). Then NBCU/USA should say "We need Vincent and Kathryn back!" And make a deal like this:

1.) Make LOCI 'SVU style' (if possible), have all 4 major characters in one episode. But money is probably going to be an issue. So just settle with alternating the teams. Goren/Eames & Nichols/Porter.

2.) Let go a few of CI's current writers in exchange with a few of SVU's writers. Plus let Dick Wolf write an episode or two. (He writes a good Law & Order episode.)

3.) Let the Goren/Eames team lead the season finale. (They haven't since "False-Hearted Judges/Frame") And let Nichols/Porter run the season premiere. (I'd like to see what an opposite team season premiere would be like.)

4.) Give Vincent D'Onofrio the option write/direct one of his episodes. At least.

5.) Give us a two-part season finale. With Goren/Eames/Nichols/Porter. If Nichols/Porter wind up being the team to run the season finale.

6.) If VDO and KE should come back... don't make it so traumatizing over the death of Ross.

7.) And do another crossover episode with another USA Network original series or character(s). I'd like to see "White Collar's" Matthew Bomer or DeKay & "In Plain Sight's" Mary McCormack or Fred Weller come to CI for a brief scene or two.

8.) Let us know more behind Goldblum's character Zach Nichols' past.

9.) Hire back Warren Leight and Rene Balcer on the writing team... even as consultants.

10.) Keep Criminal Intent paired up with In Plain Sight.

Apparently some "Law & Order" fans are in agreement to keep the series running past a 21st season. I'm in total agreement. So a petiton has been created to move to series off NBC to TNT, if Law & Order is up for a final season. I gotta say, if I had to chose; the mothership should be moved to TNT. That's where "Law & Order: Criminal Intent" should have been moved. But too late now... NOT!

A little insight on Law & Order:

Law & Order was originally created by Dick Wolf in 1988... but various networks turned down the creation of the series (CBS and FOX). So NBC decided to pick to series up in 1990 for a 22 episode first (out of many) hit season(s). The original cast was George Dzundza, Chris Noth, Dann Florek, Michael Moriarty, Richard Brooks, and Steven Hill with many cast changes after that.

As of 1999, a sex crimed case gave Dick Wolf the idea to create a series (originally named Law & Order: Sex Crimes or Sex Crimes) given the title "Law & Order:Special Victims Unit" which by it's 3rd season had recived it's highest ratings ever. And at the time the cast was Christopher Meloni, Mariska Hargitay, Richard Belzer, Stephanie March, Ice-T, and Dann Florek. (Who are the current cast today; with the addition of B.D. Wong and Tamara Tunie.)

As of 2001, Law & Order was rankned the highest rated show on TV. And made Wednesdays 'must see TV'. Thus "Law & Order: Criminal Intent" was born. With the cast of Vincent D'Onofrio, Kathryn Erbe, Jamey Sheridan, and Courtney B. Vance. Chris Noth of the original series joined CI during it's fifth season to the end of it's 7th season. Being replaced by Jeff Goldblum who will 'take over' CI after the long loved Vincent D'Onofrio and Kathryn Erbe leave the series.

In 2005, Law & Order ratings flew up again in turn for a new courtroom series drama entitled "Law & Order: Trial by Jury" which only lasted one season due to the fact that Jerry Orbach died in the middle of the series only half a year after retiring from the original Law & Order. Which caused ratings for both series to drop.

In 2007, Law & Order and Law & Order: Criminal Intent's ratings were basically tied on NBC. So Dick Wolf let CI go to the USA Network were it became one of the most watched series on cable (at the time) and paired with the number 1 show on cable (at the time) "In Plain Sight".
Law & Order remained on NBC thought TNT offered to take Law & Order if the ratings fell again.

As of the 2009-2010 network TV season; Law & Order managed to reach a 20th record-tying/breaking season with "Gunsmoke" which also ran 20 seasons. The ratings of the show are up tremendously than they were last season. This season the series has a better outlook! Currently the cast memebers are Jeremy Sisto, Anthony Anderson, S. Epatha Merkerson, Linus Roache, Alana de la Garza, and Sam Waterston. (This cast was the first cast to be the same over 2 years, which fans have come to adore.)

And recently spoken as of the 2010-2011 network TV season; Law & Order has been renewed for a 21 season with a new spinoff it is currently named "Law & Order: Los Angeles". Fans of Law & Order are suspecting after 21 seasons the show will be ending... members of NBC say the LA version and mothership 'will be handled seperately'.

And Law & Order: Special Victims Unit will be staying on Wednesday nights but moved up an hour to 10PM (Eastern)/9PM (Central). Encore episodes will air 1 hour before new original episodes.

Okay Law & Order news is bursting out until it's not even funny anymore!

Law & Order: Criminal Intent has been renewed for a 10th season with it's current cast members Jeff Goldblum, Saffron Burrows, and Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio (They signed up for a 2-year contract). IDK if Law & Order: CI is going to be on USA Network or NBC for it's decade season, nothing on that has been released... esp. since Law & Order has been renewed for a 21st season and we have a new Law & Order spinoff filming in Los Angeles in the makings (CSI, NCIS:LA, LA Law).

But yeah, basically NBCU is not just screwing with Jay Leno/Conan O'Brien... they are screwing with everyone. I think "Law & Order" (or "L&O: LA") and "Law & Order: SVU" should stay on NBC... "Law & Order: CI" and "Law & Order: LA" (or "L&O") should move to TNT. It's too much crowding on NBC for these Law & Order's... I love the shows but hate the overcrowding on the networks. (FOX or ABC would be a good choice for LOCI and LOLA to be.)

Or just do an Oprah Winfrey one... Give us a "Law & Order" TV Network.

When a rumored-for-so-long-story like this happens, you need two links!

"At today’s Winter TCA Press Tour, Angela Bromstad, NBC’s Primetime Entertainment President revealed that a Los Angeles version of LAW & ORDER is in the early stages of development as well as the potential for the mothership series returning for a 21st season, making it the longest running primetime drama of all time.“First of all, it’s highly possible LAW & ORDER will go beyond this year,” she says. “We also went to [creator Dick] Wolf and we said, ‘would you consider doing a Los Angeles based LAW AND ORDER. We pitched that out to him and talked about developing that. Other than SOUTHLAND, there hasn’t been a great L.A. based cop show.“We officially call that LOLA,” adds Jeff Gaspin, NBC Television Entertainment Chairman with a smile."

Which I agree with the statement 100%, now I'm a Law & Order crazy fan, like all the US series. Even Trial by Jury which sunk in the ratings after Jerry Orbach passed away. I just hope the series isn't so character based so it can last 20 years like the original Law & Order (which was recently renewed for a 21st record-tying season I might add).

In my opinion NBC needs to make Tuesday or Wednesday nights "Law & Order night"! Back-to-Back-to-Back "Law & Order" (with the mothership, SVU, and, LA)! This is fantastic news!

From the rumors that are coming out, it's supposed to outdo "Zebras" (s10 Finale). One problem we won't have this year is the returns of Hargitay and Meloni... they signed on to the cast until May 2012 (hopefully they will extend that to 2022; though they'd be really old. But hey Jerry Orbach did it!)

But season 12 that may change... Jay Leno & Conan O'Brien are gonna share an hour (so it is rumoured). In my honest personal opinion... (and excuse my french) NBC had no G**damn business giving Jay his own show... he was already ranked as one of the highest rated Tonight shows for 17 years running. And Conan was ranked as the highest rated Late Night show running since the early-mid 1990s... everything was fine the way it was! We could have had 5 new dramas on NBC this 09-10 network TV season and SVU & the mothership (L&O) could have stayed where they were and kept their original ratings... when SVU & L&O moved their ratings have fallen dramatically!

But anyway Lee Tergesen is not new to the franchise... he guest-stared on Law & Order: CI in the episode "30" as Josh Limley (?), one of Logan's friends from the mothership days.

I have to agree but disagree... SVU's guest stars are ok, the writing with them sometimes is a bit off from what we've seen from previous seasons.

Anyway Sharon Stone will appear on SVU 3 months from now in her 4-episode arc in April 2010.

Rumors floating around the season finale this year will out do last years season finale... "Zebras" which outranked Barak Obama's White House Tour by over 2.8 million viewers making SVU the most watching program of the night... 11.3 million in the Nielsen ratings and highest rated episode of SVU's 10th season since "Persona".

Mischa Barton of the CW's short-lived series "The Beautiful Life" is coming to SVU, but here is a surprise twist, we all know her as 'sweet and innocent' she is going to play a hooker named Gladys on SVU. Neal Baer has been twittering teases about Mischa’s casting with the clues: Bongo, Singer and Austin.

She played Katie Singer on Once and Again, Betty Ann Bongo on an animated series called Kablam!, and (Baer was really reaching) a character named Vicky Austin in a 2002 TV Movie called A Ring of Endless Light. (All he had to do was say Cooper, and we would have known he was talking about The OC star.) Baer says he first took a shine to Mischa when she was a kid actress in "The Sixth Sense." “She’s gone on to do amazing work both on TV and on the stage,” says Baer, who thought casting Mischa as a hooker would surprise viewers.

Now Mischa Barton, her episode is set to air on NBC; Wednesday, March 3rd, 2010 after the Olympics conclude. Her episode will reveal that Mischa’s character is hiding a secret that will prove complicating for Mariska Hargitay’s Olivia Benson.

Sunday December 27, 2009: Playing Dead, Rock Star, Identity Crisis, & In Treatment.

I've seen them all before about 200 times but I'm gonna watch them on Bravo.

CI season premiere - the date said is March 2, 2010 (Tuesdays at 10:00pm/E). But I wouldn't rely on that date until we get full confirmation.

Like the title says: a [YouTube Fan Gives] "Law & Order: [Crimnal Intent]" [Justice]!

User, GorenEamesFan01; (left a comment on another page) tells me his plan to give CI some justice. We all know lately the USA Network has aired a promo for all it's 'unforgetable characters' from shows like "In Plain Sight", "Psych", "Monk", "Burn Notice", "Royal Pains", and a few from "CI"; but the characters Goren & Eames were rarely seen or not at all but Jeff Goldblum is. Me: "So why did you take TWO Weeks off like on NBCU shows do? Lol."

GorenEamesFan2001: "Well I kept seeing USA's Jon Bon Jovi promo a lot and I was pissed off when I saw how CI was basically invisable or 'Jeff Goldblumed' so I decided to give Criminal Intent what it rightfully deserves!"

Me: "It's own promo?"

GorenEamesFan2001: "Correct. I have a lot of episodes recorded from the eighth season. I admit I have some Jeff Goldblum on it but he's with Wheeler mostly. Subjects on Julianne Nicholson are quiet... to me she MADE Detective Wheeler but every cares for VDO & KE (Vincent D'Onofrio & Kathryn Erbe) more! Though it can't be blamed."

Me: "Yeah. Once you see the same characters over and over for 8 years its practically like you've known them you're whole life even if they are portrayaled characters. I mean we were all there when Logan came to MCS, [(some of us were there on the original L&O)] we saw Goren and Eames solve thr first case of many in "One", we saw Deakins, Carver, & Barek leave. Ross & Wheeler enter. Eames got kidnapped, Goren's mother died, Logan's girlfirend died, Wheeler went overseas but came back. Logan walk off the job and we saw Goren's brother with Nichole Wallace died. We saw Nichols replaced Logan and all that kind of stuff. But who have we seen the most?"

GorenEamesFan2001: "Goren AND Eames! 8 years is a good history for an L&O cast anyway. You know how many changes have occured on L&O the last 20 years. And let's not forget how Benson and Stabler (Hargitay & Meloni) have been with the cast of SVU since the show's premiere in '99! Why does our CI cast have to leave due to the 'big bosses' of the USA Network. We ALL know 'THE TRIO' didn't really CHOOSE to leave CI. Vincent left before they could give him the boot."

Me: "I know it's so much speculation behind their leaving. And a lot of other things going on too like why we don't have an actual season premiere date, how come we don't have any insight on Saffron Burrows & ME Mastrantonio and their new characters, WHY the cast is REALLY leaving in the first place, who is getting killed for real in the season premiere, the episode numbers vary from 16-22 for some reason... it's so much... and Dick Wolf is too quiet in this."

GEFan01: "Damn right! I believe Criminal Intent will fly down the drain this season. But then again I could be proved wrong! But I think it will. USA Network is 'f-ing' up."

Me: "Well enough on CI's demise... tell me 'bout this fan-made promo!"

GEFan01: "What's to say... I'm saying nothing. But I took clips from a couple of episodes to create a promo. You will have to wait until the premiere like everyone else."

Me: "Fine, well thanks for dropping a line GorenEamesFan2001!"

GEFan01: "You're welcome, I just thought CI deserved something better than what USA Network spewed out about the other characters."

Me: "When can we expect this promo to be posted on YouTube?"

I acutually ment to post this YESTERDAY but I got behind schedule and busy yesterday with Christmas coming up. But you've read what we talked about. GorenEamesFan2001's video will be posted December 22, 2009. I can't wait! CI's season premiere is planned to air Tuesday, March 2, 2010 but I wouldn't get comfortable with that date just yet. And the original Law & Order of 20 years and SVU will return on January 6th & 8th of 2010!

My Law & Order Reviews

Okay so on NBC's, "Law & Order" and "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" we have reach 'the fall finales'. So now I'm going to review over the shows' current seasons.

Starting with "Law & Order": Which I have really enjoyed the 20th season so far. It started off slow with the season premiere but it has really picked on up! I enjoy the current cast and characters more than I ever have these past 4 seasons. Though I must say since season 4 we've enjoyed the character Anita van Buren (portrayed by S. Epatha Merkerson), but now the character has developed cancer and she is trying to deal with it... so I assume this may be Anita's (S. Epatha's) last season. And the also seen since seasons 3 and 4 character Jack McCoy (portrayed by Sam Waterston) is also putting his new job on the line this season.

The episode "Fed" (which had nothing at all to do with the feds), was a very awaited and appreciated episode, with special guest star Benjamin Bratt who previously played the character Rey Curtis. And a very emotional scene with him and Van Buren. It reach 8.88 million viewers in the ratings (the highest rated episode of "Law & Order" this season!).

I rank L&O's 20th season: A 10/10! (Awsome job for L&O!)

Now "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit"; SVU this season has been rocky. You have off and on good episodes. The season premiere episode ("Unstable"); with "Sugar", "Hammered", and "Hardwired" to me were the best episodes of SVU this season! I enjoyed the 'fall finale' episode "Anchor" but to me, it seems this should have been more of an "Law & Order: Criminal Intent" episode. It had CI's flavor, SVU is getting the characters more personally involved in cases. That's basically what the episodes have been about this season. Benson (M. Hargitay), Stabler (C. Meloni), Tutuola, (Ice-T), Cabot (S. March), Paxton (C. Lathi), & even Huang (B.D. Wong) & Cragen (D. Florek) have been involved. To me you only get characters personally involved in cases if ratings go DOWN or in special episodes (Premieres/Finales). They were simi-good since the 1oth season. This season the show is off. It's like TOO MUCH PERSONAL DRAMA for SVU. "Law & Order: Criminal Intent" (the show's succesor) needs the personal drama. SVU needs to be all about 'The Sex Crimes/Special Victims Unit'.

I rank SVU's 11th season: A 5/10! (SVU needs some work brought in from seasons 1-7 brought into seasons 11+)

New Guest Stars, New Year, New SVU

SVU next year after the fall finale episode this week, "Anchor" (Wed. 9/8 C on NBC)... will have some new major guest stars:

5.) Naveen Andrews (I smell Emmy for him)

and they will appear in episodes entitled: "Shadow", "Quickie", "Damned", "PC", & "Confrontation". But personally, I'd prefer the people above trying to recieve the emmy, not Chris & Mariska for all SVUs' 11th season personal drama.

Law & Order: SVU - More PERSONAL than SEXUAL?!

Many fans of the NBC legal police procedural drama, "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit", are disappointed at the current season's written episodes, because they are too "PERSONALLY INVOLVED"!

Personally, I think SVU is too! Episodes like Sugar, Solitary, Hammered, Users, Spooked, Turmoil, Perverted, & Anchor: the storylines are based TOO CLOSE to the characters personal lives. It's episodes like theses are a-okay for season premieres, mid season episodes, and season finales. But every episode one to three of the characters get personally involved.

I miss episodes from seasons 1, 3-7, & 9. They were not solely based on what the character has done, is doing, or needs to do. They were about rape victims, murderers, suicidal sexual maniacs, ane et cetera.SVU needs to shape up and pick up it's ratings again. Not base episodes on the characters. The personal shows like that is Law & Order: Criminal Intent & a few of the Trial by Jury episodes. Leave the characters being personal for season premieres, mid season episodes, and season finales. Not every episode!

SVU - Casey Novak - Fans Seek Justice

Today must be 'fans seek justice day' instead of 'Thanksgiving Day'

Remember Casey Novak (portrayed by Diane Neal), she came to the SVU in the episode "Serendipity" and we enjoyed her for 4-5 good seasons of SVU and she was disbarred after the episode "Cold". And we have had 3 temp ADAs since her departure. Kim Greylek (portrayed by Michaela McManus), Samantha Copeland (portrayed by Melinda McGraw), and of course previous ADA, Alexandra Cabot (portrayed by Stephanie March).

Latley the DAs office and the ADA have been quiet. This season SVU is getting into the personal lives of the detectives. Usually the episodes are about "Dedicated detectives helping rape victims, truama victims, and catching their rapists and murderes. While the presecution prepares for the trial with the unit!" NOT "Olivia's bloods be duplicated, Elliot's son is atcing out, Kathleen Stabler is bipolar, George Huang being homosexual messing with his actions, Alexandra Cabot trying to be a detective instead of an ADA" All that stuff is okay, in MODERATION not every other episode!

Law & Order: TBJ - Fans Seek Justice

We all remember the currently defunct "Law & Order" spinoff, "Trial by Jury". Right?

I'll fill you in on some info so I can get to the real story: The show premiered March 3, 2005, with a season of 13 episodes (12 aired on NBC). First episode "The Abominable Showman" reached 17.3 million US viewers, it's highest rated episode and for NBC that night. And that made TBJ the first "L&O" spinoff to reach that many viewers on the FIRST episode.

The show starred: Bebe Neuwirth, Amy Carlson, Kirk Acevedo (episodes 1-2), Scott Cohen (episodes 3-13), with Fred Thompson and Jerry Orbach.

After the episode "Forty-One Shots" [14.5 million (V)], Jerry Orbach passed away (RIP). He filmed 4 more episodes after that one ("Pattern of Conduct" [10.6 million (V)]) and the episode "Baby Boom" [11.1 million (V)] was dedicated to him. Kirk Acevedo left the cast after Orbach's (Briscoe's) death. He was replaced by Scott Cohen. The show (and the whole franchise) was never the same after Orbach's death.

Eventually the episode 'considered' the season finale, "Boy Will Be Boys" [9.8 million (V)], rolled around on May 5, 2005; and fans were awaiting the show's return. When they found out NBC didn't air the episode "Eros in the Upper Eighties". But CourtTV (now TruTV) did eventually air it January 21, 2006.

Many fans were (and are) because many fans believe it was canceled due to its competition with "NUMB3RS", Jerry Orbach's death, 'he took TBJ with him', low ratings, the actors wanted to quit. No one really knows the 'real' reason.

But now seeing as how there is no 'truly confirmed' reason for its cancelation, 'fans seek justice'. I took a personal poll. Me and 10 friends. I IMed them and asked them "What whould u like to see happen with LOTBJ?" 2 said nothing and 8 said renewal. 8 of 10 are good odds, around my picky friends.

I THINK "Trial by Jury" should try again for a second season.

But you know how that goes.

Those are the titles for the episodes so far. Also the only ones SO FAR that have been taped. Cast wise: We KNOW Julianne Nicholson is gone & Vincent D'Onofrio, Kathryn Erbe, and Eric Bogosian are leaving after "Puntland" and Saffron Burrows is coming to show starting with "Puntland". But it hasn't really been released what episode Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio is supposed start in "Puntland" (PT2 I assume), or "Love Sick".

Personally I hate that the season premiere is inching closer and closer before we see our favorite stars on CI for the last time! This makes me wish seasons 8 and 9 were like 5-7. Of course VDO and KE with Chris Noth and either Barek or Wheeler. But oh well, I'm not in charge so nothing I can do about it.

On a "Law & Order" note, (not much on SVU) Benjamin Bratt's (Det. Rey Curtis) guest apperance episode is coming up in 2 weeks. The episode will be entitled "Fed" and will air Friday, December 4th, 2009 at 8pm/7pm c on NBC. In my personal opinion Chris Noth or Jesse L. Martin should come back as guest stars (or temp. hold down their previous roles) to see what characters Mike Logan & Ed Green have been up to these days.

CI's season premiere is in March 2010.

UPDATE # 1: New title "Love on Ice" LOCI is taping episodes faster and faster. They actually might be ready by March 2010. We should see a promo for the new season in late December 2009, or early-mid January 2010!

Michael Gladis on Law & Order: CI

Michael Gladis, (“Mad Men”, copywriter); is supposed to appear on an episode of "Law & Order: CI" as a serial killer Randall Haig in an episode that is reported to be named “Love Sick”. CI is scheduled to return to the USA Network in March 2010. But seeing as how CI's recent changes have upset many fans (including myself)... I doubt there will be many viewers. Though I'll read episode descriptions to be 'kept in the loop'.

Law & Order: CI - Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio, New Petition, Season Premiere Date

Well, poor "Law & Order: CI" the fanbase for the show was in uproar last night over the news of movie actress, Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio coming to the cast as the new CO. So all three stars have been replaced. (BOO!) Why can't USA Network leave L&O: CI and the staff alone?!

I actually have nothing against Mrs. Mastrantonio she is a fabulos actress, but a MOVIE actress not a TV drama actress and the way CI is going through these changes... her character won't be as hard-core as she is in movies like, "Scarface", "Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves", and "Witness Protection". But we'll have to see how that goes.

On CI fan wise, some of the 'old petitioners' are calling it quits and new ones are erupting. I was on the USA Network boards last night and a fan voted to move CI off the USA Network and on to the Fox Broadcasting Network (FOX) in hopes that CI's actors will be hired on by Fox... in comparision to how happy the actors are on shows like "House" and "Lie to Me" and how Medium was moved from NBC to CBS.

Wikipedia.org states: "After some ratings erosion during its fifth season, NBC renewed Medium for an abridged sixth season in early May 2009. However, within a week negotiations stalled over episode count and subsequently NBC decided not to renew the series despite the fact that it outperforms some of the network's renewed shows. Within 24 hours of NBC's cancellation, CBS, whose production arm produces the series, renewed the show for a full, 22-episode, sixth season, placing it in the Friday at 9:00 p.m. slot between fellow CBS in-house productions Ghost Whisperer and Numb3rs. CBS first aired this series with a rerun episode on July 21, 2009. The sixth season premiered on Friday, September 25, 2009 at 9pm."

Who knows, maybe CI outdoes the shows on USA now, and maybe CI should do this. And about half an hour ago this petition pops up on Go petition.com [http://www.gopetition.com/online/31831.html] "Move Law & Order: CI to FOX!" with the original petiton to "Keep Vincent D' Onofrio And Kathryn Erbe On Law And Order C.I. Petition!" [http://www.gopetition.com/online/31034.html]. So we'll just have to see how that bodes. Who knows, fans may get sick and tired of the BS that USA Network is doing to CI and make it move to a local network again. Because CI has some high ratings among different set of seasons. The first 3 seasons in the 10-19s viewership (in millions), seasons 4-7 8-13s veiwership (in millions, raking with SVU.)... for L&O: CI that is pretty good.

Season premiere date? - RUMORS have surfaced on the week of March 15 - March 19. Definitely not Saturday or Sunday.

I pray & hope L&O CI will find peace soon. Before it takes the plunge into cancellation.

When you create FUTURE episodes, take a step BACK and look.

"Law & Order's" 12th season which aired from September 26, 2001 to May 22, 2002 (with 24 episodes) it ranked at #7 in the US ratings and 18.7 million viewers for that season. And those are good odds for L&O! (Ratings have fallen.)

"Law & Order: Special Victims Unit's" 3rd season with aired from September 28, 2001 to May 17, 2002 (with 23 episodes) it ranked at #14 in the US ratings and 15.2 million viewers for that season. SVU was rockin' back then! (Ratings fell and rose since.)

"Law & Order: Criminal Intent's" 3rd season which aired from September 28, 2003 to May 23, 2004 (with 21 episodes) it ranked at #10 in the US ratings and 15.5 million viewers for that season. Criminal Intent's ratings then were... criminal! (Ratings flew down since.)

People (Powers that Be) whomever gets this message to the people of L&O. Take a STEP BACK to old episodes and compare that to new ones PLEASE! You would come out better with the ratings and episode styles if you would do so!

Law & Order: Criminal Intent Family Broken!

Like the title says... "The Law & Order: CI cast family is broken!"

That's not good, of all the things to happen to an L&O in the franchise, CI is taking the hardest blow next season. CI has really been going down from the jumpy since it moved to USA Network in 2007.

1. First off, the theme song changed (for some for the better, others for the worse)

2. Shortly after CI moved to the USA Network; Chris Noth (Mike Logan) announced he would be leaving CI after the 7th season. A lot of speculation went on behind that was it Noth's choice to leave after coming only 2 seasons before? Or was he fired again by Dick Wolf or TPTB of the USA Network?

3. JEFF GOLDBLUM (ZACH NICHOLS) replaced him. I have no hard personal feelings against Mr. Goldblum, he is just another talented actor who got caught up in some future cross-fires at USA Network.

4. USA Network rearraged and rewrote many of the 8th season's episodes. And head show writers Warren Leight and Rene Balcer left after 2 seasons with Noth. (A lot of speculation behind that too.) (In my own opinion) The only person who wrote good CI episodes last season was Michael S. Chernuchin.

5. It was announced and later confirmed that Julianne Nicholson (Megan Wheeler) was going to be leaving the show after she had her second child. (It was assumed to be her decision. But after she left the 'spit-hit-the-spam'.

6. It was told by the Hollywood Reporter that ("My Own Worst Enemy") SAFFRON BURROWS would be replacing her. I have no hard personal feelings against Ms. Burrows, she is just another talented actress who got caught up in some future cross-fires at USA Network. 7. USA Network was turning the shows volume down to a 'lighter fair'. Than the drama that was currently in CI. (What drama?!, the only thing that happened in season 8 was in the episode "Revolution" at the end when Nichols (Goldblum) was in a psychotic state!)

8. It's removal from the Sunday night line-up with "In Plain Sight".

Vinent D'Onofrio (Robert Goren) was leaving the cast after 8 years later to be announced that his series permiere co-star; Kathryn Erbe (Alexandra Eames), and Eric Bogosian (Danny Ross) who joined the cast during the 6th season; are leaving with him.

There is so much speculation about these 3 cast members removal. That they were FIRED, budget cuts, personal lives etc. Later D'Onofrio had a statement come out that it was HIS choice to leave. (Probably before they could fire him.) After all the depressing news fans stepped in to help keep the memebers of the current cast. But no justice was served.

10. The much awaited but now regretted two-part ninth season premiere episode "Puntland" is now taped and it was told that 1 of the main cast memebers characters (Goren, Eames, or Ross) will be murdered. After this episode (and some won't even watch it): Fans have threatend to leave the show to it's doom. [I might too.] But then again who are we to judge, Jeff Goldblum, Saffron Burrows and whoever replaces Bogosian may keep it up [I doubt it with all of USA's changes.]

So here ends an era for one great show, with two great detectives.

Law & Order: SVU - Sonya Paxton and Booze and Law & Order: CI - Fans Continue Being Outraged

We've (I've) got 2 major topics to talk about tonight. Law & Order: SVU's episode with EADA Sonya Paxton (Christine Lahti) getting drunk. And Law & Order: CI fans are still outraged at USA's actions against the shows stars.

Law & Order: SVU

Okay, so last night's episode of SVU was okay-ish. Better than most at this point in the season but anyway. It was named "Hammered" and at the end EADA Soyna Paxton (Christine Lahti) shows up to court drunk as a skunk and she's supposed to be a top-notch by-the-book ADA. Which if Christine Lahti wasn't really drunk in this episode, she plays drunk really well. But in that last scene of the episode in the courtroom is what really t-s me off some. Why drag Olivia Benson down with her? Paxton obviously thought Benson would cover for her and lie just to keep Paxton's job, that should have been a no to Paxton automatically, especially the rotten way she treated the SVU detectives.

[WENDY STARK] Mid 30s. Female. Attractive FBI Agent. She is called in to further investigate a federal case that is overlapping with a case the MCS has started investigating. When the detectives discover that she is taking over their case, she must professionally face their frustration and anger.

[RON HEGEL] 30s. African-American. Male. An FBI Agent working with Wendy Stark investigating a federal case that is very personal to the MCS. He gives the detectives the hard truth that they have to stop investigating this case while he and his partner take over.

[JILL PIKE] Mid 20s. Caucasian. Female. Very attractive American girl. Supportive girlfriend to Hassan, her Somali boyfriend, even though his family isn’t very tolerant of their multi-ethnic relationship.

[JOLIE] Late Teens-Early 20's. Female. The privileged daughter of a wealthy businessman. She is shocked by the news of her father's death when she comes home to an apartment teeming with detectives. She gives the detectives details of her father's work in shipping illegal weapons and divulges the names of his partners.

[MARYA] 20s. Female. Gorgeous American girlfriend of a Swiss millionaire 30 years her senior. The two engage in some thrill seeking activities and are mutually opportunistic. But their wiles eventually catch up to them.

[TARAS BROIDY] 50s-60s. Male. An exotic millionaire. Any Nationality. Wanted by police for trading illegal weapons. He and his young girlfriend engage in some thrill seeking activities and are mutually opportunistic. But their wiles eventually catch up to them.

[MULLAH] 50s-60s. Male. Somali. A Muslim learned in Islamic theology and sacred law. He offers to help Hassan learn the history of his great grandfather, who defeated the British. Speaks one of his lines in Arabic. ACCENT REQUIRED.

[DR. LAVENTHAL] late 30s-40s. Male. Cocky plastic surgeon who sees his work as "art". Finds out that one of his clients, Marya, was recently murdered, and he gives MCS information about her.

[LIONEL SUTTON] 50s. A snobby upper class building manager. After being presented with a search warrant, he begrudgingly lets the detectives into the penthouse apartment.

[MILGRAM] 60s. Wall Street executive of an investment banking firm. Is Roy Loften's silent business partner shipping weapons all over the world.

[AYUB] 30s-40s. Male. A Pakistani-American technician who is able to analyze and identify the micro components of weaponry. His allegiance may be to the criminals rather than the law. SLIGHT ACCENT.

[TRISTAN] 20s-30s. African-American. An intimidating presence. Appears in the shadows as a watchful eye throughout both episodes, sometimes as a security guard, an assistant or a limo chauffer.

[OMAR] 60s-70s. A Somali tribal sheikh, who is with his large family boarding a private trawler for a celebration. Once on board the boat is attacked by a large vessel thinking they are Pirates.

[CAPTAIN] 40s-50s. Male. American or European Captain of a chartered luxury yacht cruising the waters of the Horn of Africa. He navigates the yacht during a violent attack of Pirates on a nearby trawler.

[SOMALI CAPTAIN] 40s. Male. Captain of a small coastal trawler that has a tribal sheikh and his wife on board during an unexpected attack at sea. Shouts to his crew in Arabic.

[DEPUTY COMMISSIONER TURNER] 50s. Male, African American. Distinguished and poised, the commissioner has called a member of the MCS into his office to deliver some big news.

[BIANCA TORELLI] 40s. Female. Along with the Deputy Commissioner, she has been sent from Internal Affairs to deliver some big news to a member of the MCS.

[TOM PILEGGI] 60s. Male. An attorney escorting his innocent client, who’s accused of being linked with piracy and arms trafficking, through a mob of reporters.

[REPORTER] 30s. Male/Female. Part of a large crowd of press clamoring to get answers from an accused criminal, this reporter gets a question in.

Judging by what the character's in the episode are like it could be an ok episode. But now I wonder who the art student is and who get's the news from the commissioner... hmm. I guess we'll have to wait for a sneak peak or the season premiere which will be in March 2010.

Criminal Intent Fans Outraged!

Just as the title says, "Criminal Intent fans are outraged" due to the fact USA Network is being fact-less. Not telling whether Vincent D'Onofrio, Kathryn Erbe, and Eric Bogosian are really leaving the show, or when their departures are. Personally I'm angry with USA too. USA, "Characters Welcome"???? Heck no! It should say USA, "Characters Unappreciated"

"As reported last weekend, there is a huge cast shake up on "Law and Order: CI".

Many have expressed concern for Kathryn Erbe who plays the very patient Detective Alexandra Emes.

After several phone calls to her reps, I finally received a very curt "No Comment". I couldn't even get a comment on upcoming projects, very strange for an actress who could soon be unemployed.

A search of Twitter, Facebook and MySpace turned up no accounts that appeared to be authentic. I couldn't find an "official" website.

This brings up a question

USA, who is the only network that shows CI, has revealed they think Jeff Goldblum is "lighter fair. Inferring that Goren and Emes are too ????

This isn't adding up for me. So below is my, and only my, opinion on what COULD be going on.

Remember when Chris Meloni and Mariska Hargitay held out together for more money. It was unclear for several months if they would return or not. They apparently got what they wanted, because they're back to work.

I'm not saying that is what happening here. However, finances one way or another could definitely work into this equation.

Is this a hold out? Or did it start out to be a hold out and turned into something else. Something like, USA and Dick Wolf announcing the shake up to get the stars back under their control. D'onofrio can clearly play hardball as he has many projects he can work on and has stated he "can now explore other acting possibilities". It's the complete "NO COMMENT" from the Erbe reps that is most telling. Why not release a comment about how great it was being on the show, blah blah. But NOTHING. There should have been something released by today. Maybe there are still talks going on. "It ain't over til it's over", some baseball guy said that.

Vincent and Kathryn ARE L/O C/I. The set of shows that make up the "Law and Order" universe has seen may major actors/characters come and go. The shows still do well. No show has ever had this huge of a shake up. I'm afraid it will be the beginning of the end for CI.

Personally myself, I don't know what USA Network is trying to do with Law & Order: Criminal Intent. All these changes are not good for that show. For years we've had Detectives Robert Goren (Vincent D'Onofrio) and Alexandra Eames (Kathryn Erbe) in our lives on Law & Order: CI, I know I would always run to the TV at night just to see Goren and Eames! (Then Logan with Barek, Wheeler, & Fallaci). And this past 8th season on USA, though it has been the poorliest season of them all I have enjoyed watching. And the Sunday night, after "Revolution" (the 8th season finale, with Goldblum & Erbe; Nichols/Eames) aired I was waiting for a season 9 promo... but it never came. And now I know why, USA was taking away my favorite characters during "negotiations, and finalizations"!

People we need to send those emails and those letters to NBC and USA and tell them how we feel before VDO, KE, EB, and JN officially sign that last document!

Like the title says, started on the USA Network website forum of "Law & Order: Criminal Intent" to the fans who don't have access to the forum are stepping in to try there best to save the series' lead actors Vincent D'Onofrio, as well as Kathryn Erbe. With Julianne Nicholson and Eric Bogosian.

Well I guess we can kiss Law & Order: Criminal Intent "good-bye"!

All the cast changes and all the other changes are colliding into one colossal change.... FOR THE WORSE!

To be honest I never really did like CI this season anyway, that's why G/E (VDO/KE) are leaving because of the piss-poor writing by the writers USA hired to write the show. (My sister's youngest girl could write a better Law & Order CI episode better than those people)

Though I am now sadden and angered about the main CI cast leaving but who knows it could be for the better. Jeff Goldblum, Burrows, and the next CO star could turn CI around. And we could get the ADA spot back. Bye VDO, KE, JN, and EB!

Major Case RENEWED WITH Major Twists

What did I tell you folks?! I knew the big guys on USA would bring back our beloved Law & Order: CI series. But guess what, we may have some BIG freakin' changes. And to me they are Major Mistakes!

(I don't think we'll ever see this current cast member image again)

Well I'll start with the bad news first. All the stars may not be returning (or they are returning limitedly).

As stated by Michael Ausiello of Entertainment Weekly (link: http://ausiellofiles.ew.com/2009/09/16/scoop-shake-up-brewing-at-law-order-ci/): "D’Onofrio (Bobby Goren) and Erbe (Alex Eames) are “ in talks to return in some capacity.”" WTF?!?!?!

Jeff Goldblum is in an IDK state right now, though in previous interviews he has stated that taping will be starting. He's possibly backing out.

Julianne Nicholson is leaving due to her pregnancy last year. She has TWO children now... they need their mother. (I will miss you dearly Julianne)

Saffron Burrrows of NBC's "My Own Worst Enemy" is listed to take her place. WTF???!!!

And CI's twitter page says "The new season is tentatively scheduled to premiere in March 2010 and will have a split season."

I am very speechless on Law & Order: CI now... I though moving to USA would be a success but USA is 'f-in'' it up! From the writers, to promoting the show, to the revolving cast members. It looks like Eric Bogosian and Leslie Hendrix will be the only ones showing up for taping. (Danny Ross & Elizabeth Rogers [or Elizabeth Ross ???])

And rumors are circulating about a two-part both teamed episode like season 5's "In The Wee Small Hours" and a return of Chris Noth (who is working with Sex and the City as usual)

USA really needs to buckle down and do Criminal Intent right before the worst happens and when it does I may stick around or I may quit watching. (I'm being honest)

In Other Law & Order Spinoff News

People are ready to go with the new season premiere of Law & Order: SVU which is Wednesday, September 23, 2009 at 9:00PM/E on NBC. In 5 Days! WHOO!

And people are using ??? when it comes down to the rumors of a 4th "Law & Order" spinoff. As well as I am. According to Wikipedia which sources Mike Aussiello of EW that the network is trying to finalize another spinoff. (Well IDK the way CI is going down we may need another one to pick up the peices if CI was to do a "Trial by Jury" number)

I will keep you posted on Criminal Intent, SVU, and any other spinoff information as soon as I can and as soon as I read it!

Taping for "Law & Order: Criminal Intent"

First off this is NOT OFFICIALLY a "GO" YET... but USA Network is in the middle of finalizing the 9th season of USA Network's "Law & Order: Criminal Intent" the decision will be finalized in the next two months (October-November) and as soon as the decision is made 100% to continue another season; taping for the new episodes should officially begin. Though other off network sources say Criminal Intent will be back in Spring 2010. (Probably, I hope USA doesn't screw with next season like they did this one.) And that it will be a total of at least 17 episodes.

But we are all waiting for the 'big guys' on the top floor to say "GO"! (I can't wait, just say yeah!) I will keep you posted on CI more as time progresses. As well with the other spinoff series.

Wow, we have A LOT to talk about "Law & Order" wise. I'll do all the talking (typing) and you guys just listen (read).

Law & Order: Criminal Intent

-"The 8th Season Finale episode, "Revolution""
As you know the Criminal Intent 8th season finale went by in August on the 9th. In my opinion it's one of the many bests of the season. I like how the ending most of all, it's the first time we see NICHOLS in a "GOREN STATE". I can't say that I wouldn't be either if I put my life and many other in danger while a woman is contolling a bomb while holding a gun or watching her get shot in my arms with blood flying all over the place.

- "Season 9?"
I've heard the same thing since the end of July and the beginning of August. CI is currently being finalized by USA Network on coming back for a 9th season. Just say YES or no USA! It's not that hard to bring back a show, sort the other details out later! Word is that it WON'T BE CANCELED and that the stars are returning. All we need now is a date (or season like Fall, Spring, or next Summer).

Law & Order: Special Victims Unit

I've heard so much stuff on SVU until it's not even funny. So I'll just stick with stuff closer to the season premiere which is in approx. 2 weeks.

The episode is titled "Unstable" and it'll be SVU's 11th season premiere (with 24 episodes I believe). And we have two big name guest stars in the season premiere Chrisine Lahti and Wentworth Miller! I heard it's gonna be a bang. And the sister site (All Things Law and Order) can supply photos of the season premiere. But here's the twist SVU has now moved to WEDNESDAY NIGHTS AT 9:00PM (EASTERN) / 8:00PM (CENTRAL), STILL ON NBC.

Law & Order

Here (not where I am) not to long ago the current cast members of L&O and Dick Wolf were interviewed for celebrating 20 years. I think they are psyched about it, especially Sam Waterston he and S. Epatha Merkerson have been there since the early to mid 1990s.
I don't have an 'exact' link to the interviews but the sister site here does. (All Things Law and Order) As I said all the cast members are returning even Waterston (because McCoy won the election in the season finale).

We don't know much about L&O guest stars so far like we do with SVU. But we are gonna have big name guest stars on L&O too, I mean come on it is the 20th season! But the episodes this season are limted down to at least 17. The season premiere episode is named "Memo from the Dark Side". (To me it should be a 2 hr season premiere because of the title, but it's not). The season premiere we will have David Alan Basche and Creighton James guest star! And L&O has now moved to FRIDAY NIGHTS AT 8:00 PM (EASTERN) / 7:00PM (CENTRAL), ALSO ON NBC! Though it's a tad bit early for me on Friday nights, I don't know if it'll be a good thing or a bad thing for the ratings. They're already slowly slipping. But TNT is willing to take L&O if it goes down the toilet on NBC. I pray and hope both L&Os that are on NBC stay where they are.

And the wonderful Michael Ausiello says that the long loved character Anita van Buren is going to devlop cancer this season. Uh-oh. (http://ausiellofiles.ew.com/2009/09/02/ask-ausiello-spoilers-on-greys-house-greek-gossip-girl-more/) Maybe L&O ratings are going to turn around.

Other Law & Order News

It's not much but I've read and heard alot about it that Dick Wolf may create another spinoff because of the now defunct "Law & Order: Trial by Jury" Wolf wants to try again in another city either Atlanta, Chicago, or Los Angeles.

It would be an 'about time' kind of thing most people base crime in TV and Movies mostly in New York. But it's an IDK kind of thing right now, it's mostly rumors but to me it would be nice if we had another spinoff to have around when both CI and the current NBC L&Os aren't airing new episodes. When CI went off air in August I was like 'when is CI coming back?/when are L&O and SVU coming on again?' But again it's rumors in the air so far, we'll know when Dick Wolf comes out with the new series.

Where have I been since August?

USA Network is still finalizing "Law & Order: Criminal Intent's" ninth season and the network has confirmed that there is a third season of "In Plain Sight" (both connected with the L&O franchise). But here's the twist: if the shows get renewed Criminal Intent will be MOVING from Sunday nights at 9 and moving IPS to 9. This makes me wonder if USA Network knows what it's doing.

Because you know (Flashback) when CI was orignally was supposed to air season 8 on Friday November 7th at 9... maybe that was the day CI was originally moving to, Friday. Because they say "White Collar" (A new USA original series) will be coming and they want IPS and WC in the same night.But anyway, I'll keep you posted as this story devlops.

Anyway, in my personal opinion: Criminal Intent and In Plain Sight should have been on Fridays nights anyway... and too I think the whole L&O franchise should move to USA (or at least the original version).

But like the topic says CI and IPS are confirmed to have new seasons.

Law & Order: Criminal Intent - "Ashes of Time"?

Now THIS episode REALLY leaves some question marks behind it. Uh the rumor of a 17th episode of Criminal Intent's 8th season flew over the internet July 26, 2009. People have a lot of links to this particular 'episode' too. Even I do (http://sharetv.org/shows/law_and_order_criminal_intent/episodes/492190/08x17)! But you can type in a search engine many variations of L&O: CI - "Ashes of Time" and you will see a couple of links about this episode.

The only thing about it NO ONE knows what this episode is or about. NBC/USA Network borads say it was something that just came up out of the blue. I think it could be another episode for next season (maybe) or an episode the networks are gonna just throw out there. (I don't know.) I'll keep you updated if any new information on this subject comes up.
